Upon my arrival at DFW last week, I had the pleasure of taking American Airlines' direct first flight from Brisbane to DFW, which proved to be a time-saving choice by eliminating a layover in Sydney. This efficient travel arrangement not only spared me several hours but also allowed me to embark on my journey promptly. Subsequently, I made my way to Bruce Hunnicutt's ranch in East Texas, a picturesque location situated approximately 2 1/2 hours away from DFW.
As I settled into the serene surroundings of the ranch, my initial task was to inspect my 7mm magnum, a crucial step in ensuring a successful hunting experience. The precision of my equipment was reassuring, setting the stage for what promised to be an exciting hunting expedition. Typically, my visits coincide with the archery season, a period I favor for hunting Whitetail deer & hogs. During this time, the absence of fallen acorns prompts increased deer activity, particularly among the majestic bucks. With the rut anticipated to commence imminently, the woods are poised to come alive with the spirited pursuit of does by the eager bucks, creating a captivating spectacle of nature in motion.
